Starbucks Closed About 250 Stores — Is Yours on the List?
Starbucks is closing about 250 underperforming stores across North America — roughly 1% of its stores there — under its 'Back to Starbucks' plan, and most of those closures took effect in late September 2026. About $300 million in restructuring charges and roughly 900 jobs are tied to the move. Starbucks has not published a full official list of the closed locations: Investopedia identified 211 closed U.S. stores across 33 states and Washington, D.C. — California (64), New York (15) and Texas (14) saw the most. Check your store's hours and status in the Starbucks app or on starbucks.com before you head out.
